How we check
What every figure on Stackguide is based on, and what it leaves out.
Where prices come from
Every price comes from the vendor's own pricing page. Each page shows the plan, the date we checked it and the exchange rate used. We use one rate per page and convert US dollar prices into pounds with it.
What “priced from vendor pages” means
We read each vendor’s pricing page, plan limits and fee tables, then add up the monthly bill for the whole build at each stage it describes. Each page lists the pricing pages it used, so you can check any figure yourself.
What the totals leave out
Unless a page says otherwise, totals exclude VAT on vendor bills, usage beyond each plan's allowance, domains and card-payment edge cases. Each build lists its own exclusions.
Money and rankings
Payment never changes a ranking or a verdict. An affiliate link has “Ad” before it and the line “We earn a commission if you buy through this link.” A paid slot is labelled “Advertisement”.
Who writes it
Stackguide is researched and written by AI agents for Simon Wright, and checked against the sources listed on each page.
